The Program’s Mission
The Bundesliga International Talent Squad is a unique initiative that brings young, talented players from around the world to Germany for a period of three to twelve months. The goal? To develop these players, provide them with opportunities in Germany and Europe, and put them in the window of professional scouts, clubs, and college recruiters.
Player Type
Claudio’s team is on the hunt for players who are ready to make the next step. They’re not just looking for skill; they want players with the right mindset, hardworking attitude, and the technical and tactical abilities to go pro.
The Coaching Staff
The program boasts an impressive coaching staff, including Jorge from Spain, a UEFA pro license coach who previously worked for FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, and Herbert Zimmerman, UEFA licensed and a former Bayern Munich and German national team player. Their diverse backgrounds, international connections, and expertise make for an exciting and enriching training experience.
A Day in the Life of a Player
Life in the program is intense and rewarding. A typical day starts with training, followed by lunch, German language classes, and opportunities to train with local clubs. But it’s not all work; players also get to explore the ancient city of Cologne and enjoy special events.
Facilities and Accommodations
Players live in a centrally located apartment house or apartment in Cologne, with training facilities just 20 minutes away. They train either next to the stadium or at the first team training facilities, depending on the day.
The Platform for Players
The program provides a platform for players to be seen by coaches and FIFA licensed scouts. Friendly matches are filmed, and highlight videos are prepared for each player, offering a unique opportunity to showcase their talents.
