License and Certificate from German State Association TFV
This Online License Program from the German State Football Association was created as an alternative to the high-priced, travel- and time-intensive licensing programs offered around the world. Our mission is to provide quality coaching education and tools and create a like-minded coaching community in a completely online and remote way.
Upon successful completion of the online course, you will receive a diploma and license from the German State of Thuringia Football Association (TFV) – an official member of the DFB (German Football Association).
The TFV is one of the state organizations of the German Football Association (German: Deutscher Fussball-Bund – DFB). The Thuringia Football Association (German: Thüringer Fußballverband – TFV) is the umbrella organization for the football clubs in the German state of Thuringia and covers nine football districts. The TFV was founded in 1990 and has its headquarters in Erfurt.
Pathway to UEFA courses
By taking this course, you will be pre-approved for our upcoming coaching courses in Germany.
There are at least 50 applicants for each spot on our UEFA coaching courses, and we recommend coaches based on this course to the German FA. However, graduating from the online license course does not guarantee you a spot on the UEFA C or B license. Note: If you are selected for the UEFA/DFB/TFV C or UEFA/DFB/TFV B course, you will receive credits towards your UEFA/DFB/TFV license fee and save approximately 26 hours of preparation time. Selected coaches also receive credits towards the DFB/UEFA/TFV coaching ladder offered by the State of Thuringia in Germany.

What is the TFV?

Why should I do the course?
There are three main reasons to do the course: education, licenses, and networking. The UEFA and DFB/TFV coaching pathway is long and requires a lot of time and money investment. Our virtual education platform, offered in cooperation with the TFV in Germany (an official member of the DFB), allows coaches who may not have the time or resources to fully participate in the limited courses offered in the UEFA territory to still receive an official license from the German TFV upon completion of the course.
Is this an official & acknowledged course?
Yes, this course is an official and acknowledged virtual education and license program offered in cooperation with the State of Thuringia in Germany, a member of the DFB. However, it is not equal to the DFB/UEFA/TFV C or UEFA B license, as you will need to take additional modules and exams (in person) in Germany to obtain these licenses.
How many coaches will be able to take the course?
We allow a maximum of 50 coaches to take the course simultaneously. Each module assignment is sent to Germany and must be approved by our German licensed instructors. If the registration button is available, it means there are spots available and you can apply.
How long does it take to complete the course?
The minimum time to complete the course is 8 weeks. Modules will be released weekly for 8 weeks, and you will be able to move on to the next module once you have passed the weekly assignment.
If you need to skip a week, that is not a problem, but keep in mind that you will only be able to receive your license and unlock other membership benefits once you have completed all the modules.
Do I have to have Coaching experience?
No, the course can be taken without any prior coaching experience. It includes elements for both beginner and advanced coaches.
Are the courses open to coaches outside the USA?
Yes, the courses are open to coaches from anywhere in the world.

Meet Our Guest Speakers – Part 2
- René Wagner played amateur soccer in Germany before moving abroad to the United States, where he played and coached in college soccer. This marked the beginning of an exciting journey. In the past season, the 34-year-old has been an assistant coach at 1. Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln (FC Cologne) and helped the team qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League.
- As part of the Warubi Sports Coaching Staff, René was responsible for leading coaching license courses at the DFB-Akademie Training Centers in Fort Lauderdale and Largo (Florida, USA).
- René holds an UEFA A Level certification from the Deutscher Fußball Bund (DFB) and is a guest speaker in the German State FA (TFV) – Online Course.
